About the role#
RBC is seeking software developers for an 8-month winter co-op term. This position is part of the Technology & Operations division. You will be considered for various developer roles, including full stack, web, mobile, API, and automation positions. This is a full-time, paid opportunity for students currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
What you'll do#
- Write and document code to support strategic initiatives.
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and maintain software components.
- Create and review technical design documents.
- Conduct unit testing and refine code performance.
- Present technical topics during team meetings.
- Coordinate design phases and resolve technical issues.
- Plan and estimate tasks for design, coding, and testing activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with programming languages, databases, or web technologies.

- Locations include Toronto, Calgary, Montréal, Halifax, and Vancouver.
- This is an 8-month full-time commitment.
