About the role#
RBC is hiring students for 8 or 12 month co-op terms starting in Winter 2027. This posting covers multiple Data Analyst and Data Scientist roles within the Technology and Operations department. You will work on transformational projects and contribute to the development community while helping the organization become more data-driven. Candidates must be available for a full 8-month term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, design, and implement analytic development projects.
- Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to business projects.
- Design and build data solutions using current technologies.
- Perform complex data analysis on large datasets and present findings to stakeholders.
- Promote analytics across the enterprise to support business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution in data science, computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
- Experience or understanding of open-source frameworks like Hadoop.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Splunk.
- Proficiency in databases using SQL or VBA.
- Programming skills in Python or R.
- Strong MS Office skills, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
