About the role#
This is a 4-month internship within the Group Risk Management team at RBC. You will work within the Business Unit Operational Risk Management (BUORM) team, focusing on risk activities, data solutions, and process improvements. This position is a full-time, paid placement running from January 2027 to April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain Operational Risk Management program records in Archer.
- Summarize and monitor oversight requests and policy adherence breaches.
- Manage and monitor IT and Maverick findings centrally.
- Develop training materials and facilitate workshops to educate stakeholders on designated risk areas.
- Design and build data solutions to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.
- Support change initiative risk assessments and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Experience in risk and control management, including review, reporting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
- Capacity to learn quickly and work with ambiguity.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Eligibility: You must be returning to school after the work term or require this placement as a mandatory component for graduation in April 2027.
