About the role#
This Systems Engineering Co-op position is a full-time, paid opportunity located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role is on-site and open for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. We provide immigration sponsorship for this position if needed.
What you'll do#
- Support system-level requirements development by translating customer specifications into hardware and software needs.
- Participate in system integration activities, including creating interface definitions and verifying system behavior.
- Assist with verification and validation planning, including the development of test procedures and data analysis.
- Contribute to functional analyses, architectural exploration, and trade studies to evaluate design alternatives regarding performance, cost, and risk.
- Maintain system configuration and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You must be actively enrolled in your degree program through the completion of the co-op session.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience with RTX is preferred.
- A Private Pilot License or a general passion for aviation is preferred.
