About the role#
Join our materials laboratory team for a Winter 2027 internship. You will gain hands-on experience in metallurgical analysis while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers. This is a full-time, paid position based in Longueuil, Quebec.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and evaluate super alloys and other materials.
- Perform microscopic evaluations using optical and scanning electron microscopy.
- Assist with investigations and analyses of production parts.
- Conduct failure analysis on engine components.
- Prepare and write technical reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Canadian university, pursuing a degree in a materials-related field.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Working knowledge of both English and French to handle technical documentation and international communications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience in materials characterization and microscopy is considered an asset.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain clearances for handling controlled goods.

- Location: Longueuil, Quebec.
- Term: January 5 to April 23, 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, on-site only.
