About the role#
This summer internship provides an opportunity for PhD students to work with a team of quants, researchers, and traders. You will support our hedge trading desk by assessing and mitigating market risks for Allianz Life and global clients.
What you'll do#
- Research, develop, and modify quantitative models used for derivatives hedging.
- Write and implement quantitative models using C#.
- Use artificial intelligence tools and resources to support research projects.
- Gain experience with financial math and trading desk operations.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing or have completed a PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science, economics, or engineering.
- Strong technical skills in mathematical modeling.
- Experience reading research papers and writing software for research purposes.
- A genuine interest in financial markets.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship.

- Location: Minneapolis, MN.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Compensation: This role is paid at a rate of $31 to $35 per hour.
