About the role#
As a Sustainable Research Intern, you will join our team to explore our approach to sustainable investing. You will collaborate with team members and connect with professionals across the organization. This program blends learning with hands-on experience through projects that support both our Sustainable Research and investment teams.
What you'll do#
- Integrate material sustainability and ESG factors into investment processes.
- Conduct company-level research using our proprietary platform to identify and assess sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to stewardship campaigns focused on topics such as water scarcity and human capital management.
- Analyze corporate governance matters at individual company and macro industry levels.
- Gather data and create reports using Tableau or other visualization tools to generate insights.
- Conduct research on key sustainability themes including health care, climate, empowerment, sustainable living, and technological advancement.
- Assist with projects related to proxy voting and stewardship.
- Participate in engagements with investee companies regarding sustainability topics.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student currently enrolled full-time in Economics, Finance, Business, Investment Management, or an equivalent field.
- You possess strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise communications.
- You have daily experience navigating and manipulating PowerPoint and Excel.
- You have exposure to Tableau or other technical data visualization platforms.
- You demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- You have a passion for the finance industry and an interest in understanding how ESG and sustainability factors impact companies.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 2 through August 6).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- Compensation: $25 per hour, plus eligibility for 401k contributions and potential cash incentives.
