About the role#
This 12-week summer program offers the opportunity to work with our Global Value Equity and Global Growth Equity teams in Kansas City. You will rotate through different investment strategies, gain exposure to portfolio management, and provide fundamental research support to help drive client outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Research and build models for common stocks, including both current holdings and potential investments.
- Recommend specific purchases and sales based on your analysis.
- Review company financial documents, third-party reports, and interview company management.
- Analyze specific industry groups and broader investment themes.
- Prepare analytical data for weekly equity investment meetings.
- Participate in company presentations and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your first year of an MBA program, preferably with a finance concentration, or equivalent work experience.
- A curious, self-starting, and motivated mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize, plan, and complete assignments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both written and verbal formats.
- A logical, creative, and ethical approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to cover multiple sectors and perform detailed research.
- Willingness to adopt our specific investment process.
- Demonstrated alignment with our core behaviors: client focused, courageous, accountable, collaborative, curious, adaptable, and competitively driven.
- Experience covering stocks and CFA status are preferred but not required.
