About the role#
As a Software Platform Intern at Raytheon Technologies, you will work on systems that collect and process intelligence data for national defense. This position is based in Aurora, Colorado, and runs during the summer of 2027. You will join a team focused on the development, deployment, and maintenance of specialized platforms.
What you'll do#
- Support infrastructure and DevOps build and automation tasks using languages like Python, Ruby, Go, PowerShell, or Java.
- Assist in creating and maintaining operations concepts, requirements, and engineering documentation.
- Integrate software and hardware subsystems to ensure they function together.
- Use continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to help the development process.
- Apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
- Use cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes, to optimize platform performance.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience applying basic engineering principles and theories.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (TS/SCI with Polygraph).
