About the role#
The Business Process Automation Intern will help improve operational efficiency at Cactus Wellhead. You will work on projects involving automation and artificial intelligence to streamline internal workflows. Your primary focus is automating the Accounts Payable invoice verification process by comparing supplier invoices against purchase orders and received quantities. You will gain experience with ERP systems, manufacturing operations, and cross-functional project management within the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Document existing Accounts Payable workflows by working with various teams.
- Analyze invoice, purchase order, and receiving processes to find automation opportunities.
- Develop or evaluate tools that compare supplier invoices to purchase orders and received quantities.
- Research and prototype AI solutions to improve internal reporting and documentation.
- Support data collection, validation, and testing activities.
- Present your findings and recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Microsoft Power Automate is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
