About the role#
As a Project Engineering Intern at Collins Aerospace, you will join the Landing Systems team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within an engineering department to learn the design, test, analysis, and customer support processes for aircraft wheels, brakes, and braking systems. Depending on business needs and your background, you may be placed in teams such as Materials and Process, Analytical Tech, Test Lab, Systems, or Project Management.
What you'll do#
- Work directly within an engineering team to complete specific deliverables.
- Learn and follow internal engineering processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move projects forward.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or a related STEM major.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience at RTX is preferred.
- Status as a U.S. Person as defined by federal regulations.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Troy, Ohio.
- This role does not require a security clearance.
