About the role#
This is a full-time internship position for Summer 2027 based in East Hartford, Connecticut. You will join the Maintenance Data and Services Engineering team to support engine maintenance data and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Develop engine maintenance data and procedures using engineering source data.
- Define requirements for maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and illustrated parts data.
- Implement new processes for creating maintenance data.
- Coordinate data requirements with suppliers and customers.
- Provide status updates to program leads regarding development timelines.
- Support the publishing process by performing data integrity checks, error corrections, and quality reviews.
- Assist program leads in supporting airframers, airlines, and overhaul shops.
- Participate in special projects aimed at improving Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment throughout the duration of the internship.
- At least 30 academic credits completed by the start date.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Experience with commercial engine overhaul aftermarket, customer service, or managing multiple priorities is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Prior RTX internship or work experience is a plus.
