About the role#
Gulfstream is seeking a Flight Test Engineer Collegiate Associate Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role integrates you into the engineering staff to contribute to technical projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic background to real-world aviation challenges.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance to engineering staff.
- Complete discrete engineering tasks according to project schedules.
- Apply engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft-related issues.
- Support component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities.
- Generate and analyze technical test data.
- Coordinate with internal organizations, such as Production Engineering and Manufacturing, as well as external suppliers.
- Develop your understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in your field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded), which must be listed on your resume.
- Academic or project experience in aircraft performance, handling qualities, flight controls, flutter, loads, aerodynamics, avionics, electrical systems, powerplant engineering, or mechanical systems.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred qualifications include experience with MATLAB, Python, and data analysis.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Savannah, Georgia.
- You must be available to work on-site for the duration of the Summer 2027 semester.
