About the role#
The Investment Banking Sophomore Bootcamp is a virtual development and recruiting program for sophomore students interested in investment banking. The program consists of three virtual sessions designed to provide early exposure to Raymond James and prepare participants for the recruiting process. Successful participants may receive coaching and early consideration for the 2028 Summer Analyst class.
What you'll do#
- Attend a series of three virtual sessions.
- Learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of an Investment Banking Analyst.
- Gain insight into how bankers advise corporations on strategic and financial matters, including mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
- Explore Raymond James industry and product groups.
- Hear directly from bankers about their career paths and experiences.
- Build relationships with professionals and other students.
- Receive guidance on the recruiting process and application expectations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited U.S. university with an anticipated graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029.
- A degree path in accounting, computer science, data science, economics, engineering, finance, information systems, marketing, management, mathematics, statistics, or a related business field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in investment banking, finance, capital markets, or working with corporate clients.
- Strong academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, or relevant professional experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
