About the role#
RailPros is hiring a Track Engineering Intern to support the planning and design of railroad infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects involving freight, commuter, and transit systems. This role provides hands-on experience with track geometry analysis, engineering calculations, and project documentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with the design of rail and civil projects.
- Complete designs for alignments, drainage, utilities, at-grade crossings, and earthwork using AutoCAD, Microstation, and InRail.
- Prepare cost estimates and review technical specifications and construction submittals.
- Help draft rail and civil plans for various transit and freight projects.
- Conduct field observations at project sites before, during, and after construction.
- Partner with project managers to complete project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil Engineering.

- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.

- Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
