About the role#
RailPros is hiring a Rail Structures Design Intern to work on rail infrastructure projects. You will focus on the design of rail bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. This position provides hands-on experience working with experienced engineers on active projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with structural engineers to create detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Use Microstation to produce accurate models and drawings.
- Collect and analyze data to support project development.
- Ensure all designs follow industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams including project managers and other engineers.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control tasks.
- Communicate progress and project challenges to the team.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- Positions are available in Chicago, Illinois; Irvine, California; San Diego, California; and Omaha, Nebraska.
- This is a rolling internship.
