About the role#
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will join our Internal Firm Services practice to support projects that protect computer systems and networks. You will learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the operational needs of the firm. This role focuses on building your professional skills through research and direct project support.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Participate in security incident management and analyze potential threats.
- Help design and review security architecture.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify security defects.
- Use Azure Data Factory to orchestrate and automate data workflows.
- Collaborate with teams using Agile methodology.
- Gather and analyze data to support cybersecurity compliance.
- Contribute to the development of cybersecurity strategies to improve infrastructure resilience.
- Observe experienced professionals and apply a learning mindset to develop your personal skills.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree, ideally in your third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
- Preferred cumulative and major GPA of 3.3.
- Experience or interest in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Ability to leverage AI to create efficiencies.
- Experience with Agile methodology and cybersecurity projects in a professional services environment.
- Strong active listening skills and a willingness to accept feedback.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Rosemont or Chicago, Illinois.
