About the role#
As an Actuarial Life Co-op, you will join the Risk Modelling Services team in Montreal for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced actuaries and the Core Assurance team to provide specialized support on financial statement audits and consulting projects. This role involves contributing to risk modeling, financial reporting, and valuation tasks while gaining exposure to the full scope of actuarial services.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for IFRS 17 financial statement audits, including the assessment of valuation methodology, assumptions, and data validation.
- Assist with a broad range of actuarial consulting services, such as model development, pricing, and product development.
- Participate in business development and ad-hoc projects, including finance modernization and process automation.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with other PwC teams, including Advisory, Tax, and Data & Analytics.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Active progress toward a CIA or SOA designation.
- Knowledge of actuarial theories and insurance products.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent command of the French language.
