About the role#
This is a temporary Student Intern position for a Community Health Worker based at Providence Mother Joseph Plaza. You will act as a bridge between the community and local health and social service systems. This role is per diem and operates on a day shift schedule.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a liaison between community members and healthcare systems.
- Use your lived experience to connect with patients and community partners.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with healthcare providers.
- Provide knowledge regarding available community resources.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 80 hours of training as a Community Health Worker, approved by the Oregon Health CHW Training curriculums.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant community experience.
