Intern, Quality Control

About the role#

ProFarm is seeking an Intern to join the Quality Control group in Davis, California. This role supports scientists in conducting bioassays, testing materials for release, and maintaining accurate documentation. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Perform testing on raw materials and finished products while ensuring complete documentation.
• Assist scientists with bioassays, plant culture maintenance, and plant propagation.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and various media types.
• Maintain test stations, perform basic lab and greenhouse cleaning, and manage product retains.
• Comply with all quality systems, safety policies, and departmental procedures.

What you'll need#

• Coursework in a biological discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred experience includes hands-on laboratory work and exposure to aseptic techniques.
• Intermediate computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic mail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in laboratory and greenhouse environments while utilizing required personal protective equipment.
