About the role#
This is a non-paid student internship opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in an applicable field of study, such as Psychology, Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing, or Criminal Justice. The position is full-time and based on-site in Espanola, New Mexico.
What you'll do#
- Assist with substance abuse counseling.
- Support clients throughout their recovery process.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
- Document client progress and clinical interventions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in an applicable field of study.
- A letter of good standing from your educational institution.
- A current resume.
- Compliance with all required testing and immunizations, including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and seasonal Influenza vaccines.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check may be required if assigned to the Checkerboard Area Health System.
