Physician Assistant - Student

About the role#

This is a non-paid student internship opportunity for Summer 2026. This full-time, on-site role is open to students currently enrolled in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences programs.

What you'll do#

Interns are responsible for maintaining compliance with all organizational policies, including Human Resources Policy 205.006 regarding healthcare personnel testing and immunization requirements. You must complete all necessary health screenings prior to the start of the internship.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an applicable field of study.
• A letter of good standing from your educational institution.
• A current resume.
• Completion of required immunizations and testing, including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, and Varicella.
• Compliance with seasonal influenza vaccine requirements as set by the CDC and NMDOH.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check if assigned to the Checkerboard Area Health System.
