About the role#
This is a non-paid student internship for the Summer 2026 term. The role is based on-site in New Mexico and is intended for students currently enrolled in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences programs.
What you'll do#
As an intern, you will gain experience within a medical practice setting. You are responsible for maintaining compliance with all organizational policies, specifically PMS Human Resources Policy 205.006. You must complete all required health screenings and immunizations before your start date.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an applicable field of study.
- A letter of good standing from your educational institution.
- A current resume.
- Completion of required immunizations including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, and Varicella.
- Compliance with seasonal influenza vaccine requirements as set by the CDC and NMDOH.
- Successful completion of a criminal records check if you are assigned to the Checkerboard Area Health System.
