About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is located on-site in El Segundo, California. You will join our team to support the development of real-time embedded software within the Gen 4 Tactical Airborne Radar program.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to engineering tasks.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Analyze technical problems and provide solutions.
- Work across various phases of the software development life-cycle.
- Communicate with team members and leaders across multiple disciplines.
- Participate in development efforts and meet technical goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience developing software using C, C++, Python, or Ada.
- Knowledge of real-time embedded software development.
- A solid academic and technical background in computer science or software engineering.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
