About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to program access requirements.
What you'll do#
- Work with a small team on research and development projects.
- Develop machine learning models.
- Design and build prototype software using open-source technologies.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from end users, field tests, and exercises.
- Explore technical possibilities with colleagues to deliver solutions to complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelors or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Experience with Java or Python.
- Experience with distributed systems and machine learning.
- Prior experience through an RTX internship, co-op, or work is preferred.
- Skills in creative problem solving, experimental design, and communication are preferred.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner within a team environment is preferred.
