About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Software Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on complex systems using object-oriented programming languages. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to improve performance and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in C++, C, Java, Python, Ada, or related languages.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
