About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Richardson, Texas. You will contribute to the development of mechanical and electromechanical systems while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Create models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Execute tests for systems and components under technical oversight.
- Analyze test results against design specifications and objectives.
- Coordinate and communicate with members of a cross-functional team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience with RTX.
