About the role#
The Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) Department ensures structural and thermal design robustness across our product portfolio. As an intern, you will work directly with a senior engineer on structural and thermal analysis tasks. You will contribute to the success of the department by completing technical assignments and documenting your findings.
What you'll do#
- Perform hand calculations and determine requirements for detailed analysis.
- Execute structural and thermal analyses to address technical challenges.
- Conduct peer reviews of all analysis to validate processes and results.
- Generate detailed, archival technical reports.
- Deliver results directly to customers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools and software such as ANSYS Workbench, Patran, Nastran, or Thermal Desktop.
- Experience with CAD tools, specifically CREO.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse backgrounds.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
