About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work on-site, supporting the manufacturing of high-frequency communication radios and circuit boards. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to program access requirements.
What you'll do#
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Resolve design tolerance issues.
- Select and order capital test equipment while performing cost and payback analysis.
- Analyze capacity and equipment utilization to support production needs.
- Identify test defects and work to improve overall test yields.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures.
- Gain experience with engineering tools such as SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Experience with root cause analysis.
- Practical experience gained through projects, coursework, research, or previous training.
- Preference is given to candidates with experience in manufacturing environments, RF technology, or electronics.
- Preference is given to candidates with a history of driving continuous improvement or prior experience with RTX.
