About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will join the Applied Research and Technology Microelectronics Technology team to work on defense solutions. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Support requirements capture and digital architecture for ASIC and FPGA projects.
- Implement digital designs using RTL.
- Assist in the verification and system integration of your implementations.
- Collaborate with an experienced team and work with various engineering disciplines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Active enrollment status throughout the duration of the internship.
- Practical experience with RTL coding and simulation using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to team projects.
