About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time paid internship program. You will work within the Internal Audit organization to provide assurance on risk management, control, and governance processes. You will gain exposure to diverse financial services areas while working under the guidance of experienced audit personnel. This role is on-site and offers the potential for consideration for the full-time Internal Audit Rotation Program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to the audit process, issues management, and continuous monitoring.
- Test internal control systems and ensure compliance with established audit policies and procedures.
- Assist in performing and documenting audit procedures to appraise the soundness and adequacy of internal control systems.
- Perform transactions and functional testing of books and records.
- Network with audit professionals and collaborate on meaningful projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in a business-relevant major, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, or Computer Science.
- You have sophomore or junior status.
- You have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Birmingham, Alabama; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Raleigh, North Carolina; or Cleveland, Ohio.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
