About the role#
Platform Accounting Group is hiring a Tax Intern for our Austin, Texas office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship designed for students interested in a career in the public accounting industry. You will work on a variety of tax projects and gain exposure to complex income tax returns for business entities.
What you'll do#
- Research and resolve technical tax issues using tax software.
- Assist with complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for partnerships, C-corporations, S-corporations, and individual, gift, and estate tax returns.
- Provide accounting support for bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax.
- Maintain and enhance client relationships by learning about their business and financial needs.
- Collaborate with other interns to share best practices and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax.
- Proficiency with office technology and software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a team environment.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the public accounting industry.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
