About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our client base. This role provides hands-on experience with firm practices and helps you build professional relationships. You will assist with tax compliance, tax accruals, and consulting projects while gaining exposure to real-world accounting tasks.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions under supervision.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns for review.
- Perform quarterly estimates.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
- Use online research tools to gather tax information.
- Help respond to tax notices and assist with year-end filing projections.
- Monitor tax law developments and share findings with the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required for CPA licensure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship. The pay range for this position in California is $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.
