About the role#
As a Financial Advisor Intern at Plante Moran, you will work alongside staff at all levels of the firm. This role provides hands-on experience in wealth management and client service. You will be treated as a member of our entry-level staff, contributing directly to client success.
What you'll do#
- Assess client assets, liabilities, cash flow, and tax status to develop financial planning solutions.
- Evaluate financial plans using your knowledge of investment strategies and securities.
- Perform quality control procedures on account activity to ensure trades and money movements are completed with custodians.
- Use technology to create reports, charts, and graphs that illustrate recommendations for clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- A strong interest in investments and economics.
- Progress toward completing a bachelor’s degree from a CFP Board Registered Program, or a willingness to complete the additional coursework required to sit for the CFP exam.
