About the role#
As a Tax Solutions Group Intern, you will work alongside our entry-level staff to help organizations manage their financial health. You will focus on practical tax projects and contribute to real client solutions rather than administrative busy work. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers exposure to specialized tax consulting.
What you'll do#
- Manage projects involving cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization versus expense analysis, and R&D tax credits.
- Work directly with clients to identify and resolve tax-related issues.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of IRS regulations, tax codes, and administrative pronouncements.
- Assist clients with the documentation of credits and deductions.
- Build professional relationships with clients and staff through networking and business development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with an accounting emphasis or a Master's degree in accounting or tax.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Progress toward completing the necessary credits to sit for the CPA exam.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

- Locations: Chicago and Schaumburg, IL; Traverse City, Southfield, Macomb, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Flint, East Lansing, Detroit, Auburn Hills, and Ann Arbor, MI; Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, OH; Fort Collins and Denver Tech Center, CO.
- Modality: Hybrid work model.
- Term: Rolling.
- Note: This position is non-exempt and may require travel and hours exceeding a 40-hour work week. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
