About the role#
As a Cybersecurity Consultant Intern, you will join our management consulting team to help clients navigate complex security challenges. You will work alongside our entry-level staff on real engagements and projects, gaining hands-on experience in cybersecurity and IT risk. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Perform cybersecurity and IT audits.
- Execute SOC examinations to evaluate business process and IT controls.
- Conduct IT risk assessments and related controls-based auditing.
- Perform compliance reviews for regulations including GLBA, SOX, HIPAA, and FFIEC.
- Conduct cybersecurity standards maturity assessments for frameworks such as NIST, PCI DSS, and ISO.
- Assist with research and special analysis requested by managers and partners.
- Develop client relationships and participate in networking activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, information security, business administration, finance, management information systems, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Locations: Southfield, Michigan and Denver, Colorado.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, following a principally in-person model with flexibility determined by your team.
- Note: This position is non-exempt and may require work hours exceeding 40 hours per week, as well as local, national, or international travel.
