About the role#
As a Tax Solutions Group Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our professional staff. This role is designed to provide exposure to tax consulting and service lines, allowing you to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your professional skills. This is a full-time, paid internship position with a hybrid work modality.
What you'll do#
- Focus on projects including cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization versus expense analysis, R&D tax credits, and domestic producer activities deduction.
- Work directly with clients to identify and resolve issues as they emerge.
- Assist clients in ensuring proper documentation of credits and deductions in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant tax codes, regulations, and administrative pronouncements.
- Develop relationships with clients and staff through networking and business development activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master's degree in accounting or tax.
- Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- On track to complete the necessary degree and credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of obtaining your CPA license.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as a detail-oriented team member.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
