About the role#
As a Summer Analyst with BDO Capital Advisors, you will support our transaction-related services. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to complete analytical and operational tasks. This role provides exposure to sellside M&A advisory, buyside engagements, and private placements. You will gain insight into the financials and operations of companies across various industries.
What you'll do#
- Build financial models for transaction valuation, including discounted cash flow and comparable company analysis.
- Prepare written materials like pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and valuation reports.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative research on industries and data.
- Help with deal sourcing by researching prospective clients for internal memos and pitch books.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, with a focus on Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Completion of your junior year of undergraduate studies is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions as directed.
- Understanding of basic accounting and valuation methodologies.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
- You should seek advice from superiors on compliance-related issues.
