About the role#
As a Tax Solutions Group Intern, you will work as an integral part of our team, taking on responsibilities similar to our entry-level staff. You will gain hands-on experience in tax consulting and tax-related projects, contributing to the financial health of our clients while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Focus on projects related to cost segregation, fixed asset recovery, capitalization analysis, and R&D tax credits.
- Work directly with clients to identify and resolve tax-related issues as they emerge.
- Maintain a current understanding of tax regulations, codes, and administrative pronouncements.
- Assist clients in ensuring proper documentation of credits and deductions in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and staff through networking and business development activities.
- Deepen your technical knowledge through exposure to various tax service lines.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master's degree in accounting or tax.
- On track to complete the requisite degree and credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of obtaining your CPA license.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work in an on-site environment, with potential for local, national, or international travel.
- Availability to work hours that may exceed a standard 40-hour work week.
