About the role#
As an International Tax Services Intern at Plante Moran, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our tax engagement teams. You will be treated as a member of our staff, contributing to real client projects and developing your skills in tax consulting and compliance. This role involves both local and national travel, with occasional international travel requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide international tax consulting services for businesses regarding inbound and outbound cross-border activities.
- Assist with tax services for individuals working in the U.S. and foreign countries.
- Prepare and review global tax return compliance for U.S. companies.
- Research international tax developments that impact client businesses.
- Interact with engagement teams to support client needs and deepen your understanding of tax service lines.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Master's degree in accounting, tax, or LLM.
- Completion of the first two entry-level accounting courses and current enrollment in at least the first intermediate accounting course.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Commitment to completing the necessary degree and credits to sit for the CPA exam.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
