About the role#
The Winter Audit Internship provides hands-on experience in public accounting. You will work alongside industry specialists on actual audit projects. This is a paid, part-time position running from early January through mid-April. You must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Provide audit services to clients during authentic engagements.
- Draft financial statements using prescribed formatting.
- Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
- Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
- Develop a working knowledge of microcomputer applications.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 75% of a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated progress toward CPA exam eligibility.
- Ability to be customer-focused and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Willingness to travel locally to client sites 80% or more of the time.
- Access to a car or public transportation for local travel.
- Authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
