About the role#
This Winter Tax Internship provides hands-on experience in public accounting during the busy season. You will join an industry group to support our tax services and work directly on client engagements. This is a paid, part-time position running from mid-February to mid-April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in providing tax services to our clients.
- Prepare tax returns and handle tax scanning.
- Build professional relationships with clients and internal team members.
- Learn and follow firm policies and procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of our standard microcomputer applications.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic technical tax requirements.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 75% of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including weekends when necessary.
- Strong computer skills and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and focus on customer needs.
- A collaborative approach to team projects.
- Authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Poughkeepsie, New York.
- Frequent local travel to client sites and other firm locations may be required.
