About the role#
Phillips Edison & Company is hiring a Construction Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting our construction team with project procurement, plan reviews, and database management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the procurement of multiple bids from General Contractors based on Tenant and Landlord work letters.
- Evaluate Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical plans to ensure they conform with the defined Landlord Scope of Work.
- Prepare bid summaries from received proposals and identify pricing differences or bid discrepancies.
- Update our national database of General Contractors.
- Draft concept layouts for development opportunities using CAD software.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking university program for Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
- Good academic standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Conceptual knowledge of the construction process, including estimating, purchasing, subcontractor negotiating, scheduling, and design or construction technology.
