About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Plymouth, Minnesota. You will gain hands-on experience in engineering within a medical device environment. This is an on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Ensure the safety and quality of devices manufactured at the facility.
- Assist in research and development activities for new and existing products.
- Work with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Use analytical methods to make data-driven decisions.
- Verify that designs meet functional requirements through engineering analysis and testing.
- Establish test methods, acceptance criteria, and necessary test equipment.
- Write test protocols, analyze data, and document findings in reports.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 75% of a bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience using SolidWorks, Excel, and Minitab.
- A desire to understand how products are used, designed, and manufactured.
- Ability to establish test methods for design concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, take ownership of tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to collaborate across different functions.

- Pay: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, plus overtime eligibility.
