About the role#
This is a full-time, paid manufacturing engineering internship based in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site for a six-month term during the Winter 2027 session. This role supports the production of hospital patient monitoring equipment and offers hands-on experience within a health technology environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the setup of production lines, maintain equipment, and execute process validation.
- Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from initial definition through final delivery.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and execute validation protocols.
- Partner with teams across quality, R&D, and industrialization.
- Operate within the Philips Quality System to ensure compliance and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR 820 standards.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with Python or other programming languages.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
