About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Austin, Texas. You will work on-site Monday through Friday, committing to at least 40 hours per week. The role provides general support to the Construction Management Team, focusing on construction processes, customer service, quality control, and safety.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply construction procedures from sheetrock tape and float through to home completion.
- Develop and implement solutions for issues involving inspectors, contractors, customers, or suppliers.
- Complete projects on short notice under tight time constraints.
- Assist with planning and coordinating warranty service according to company policy.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with homeowners, trade partners, and sales staff.
- Inspect warranty work, materials, and workmanship to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Maintain assigned inventory homes.
- Monitor subdivision safety compliance and report violations to the Project Manager.
- Ensure independent contractors follow safety standards and assist with maintaining safety records.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma and current enrollment in college.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
