About the role#
Peak Energy is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering group. This hands-on position focuses on improving manufacturing processes and procedures to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. You will learn how a scaling battery manufacturing operation functions from the ground up.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of battery manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase quality.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining quality control standards to ensure batteries meet industry and company specifications.
- Evaluate equipment and technologies for integration into the production process to improve performance, reliability, and yield.
- Investigate and resolve process-related issues, such as defects and inefficiencies, using root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support product transitions from development to full-scale manufacturing.
- Ensure processes and equipment adhere to safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation of procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field.
- Strong understanding of materials science and battery components.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work hands-on on the manufacturing floor.
