About the role#
Peak Energy is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering group. This role focuses on supporting the development and optimization of battery manufacturing processes. You will work on-site to help improve production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and support the transition of new products from development to full-scale manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of battery manufacturing processes.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining quality control standards to meet company specifications.
- Evaluate equipment and technologies for integration into the production process to improve performance and yield.
- Investigate and resolve process-related issues, such as defects and inefficiencies, using root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong understanding of materials science and battery components.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to be hands-on on the manufacturing floor.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or prior experience with battery manufacturing processes.
