About the role#
Peak Energy is seeking a Test Engineer Intern to support functional verification efforts for energy storage systems, ranging from battery components to power electronics. This position involves working alongside design, simulation, and manufacturing teams to develop test procedures, execute evaluations, and report findings that directly influence product development. You will gain hands-on experience in an early-stage energy company by contributing to system testing and design integrity.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive testing of functional, high voltage, thermal, and mechanical systems across energy storage products.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and procedures to evaluate key risks.
- Analyze complex test data, report findings, and drive system enhancements.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve intricate technical issues during testing.
- Maintain detailed records of tests, analyses, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering partners to ensure design integrity and drive improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in test engineering, preferably within battery storage or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical engineering first principles.
- Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to think critically and act decisively.
