About the role#
PCL Construction is hiring a Procurement Student for the Solar District in Toronto. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term. We are looking for students available for an 8 to 16 month placement starting in September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and manage project design and procurement processes, including meeting minutes and follow-up tasks.
- Review RFP documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify key requirements.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders using PM4+ for RFIs and submittals.
- Assist with material take-offs, quantity optimization, and pricing recaps.
- Draft purchase orders while coordinating with estimators and schedulers to meet budget and delivery goals.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards in PM4+.
- Create standard Solar templates by converting existing spreadsheet tools.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A strong interest in solar preconstruction work.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Familiarity with PM4+ and Power BI is preferred.

- Compensation: $21.37 to $31.34 per hour, depending on experience.
