About the role#
This is a full-time student position based in Montreal for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site as part of the Canadian Buildings sector. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience by supporting our estimating team on real projects.
What you'll do#
- Use PCL estimating manuals, systems, and forms.
- Review quantity survey assignments with the lead or Chief Estimator.
- Perform quantity surveys and transfer data to the lead estimator.
- Provide quantities for major purchase items to the purchasing department.
- Handle bid document control and assist with bid day assignments.
- Perform general subtrade solicitation duties.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors.
- Visit job sites periodically.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Chief Estimator.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.
