About the role#
The Transmission Line Engineering Intern will support the design, evaluation, and maintenance of overhead transmission lines and structures. This role involves working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and field construction teams to assist with technical evaluations and ensure projects meet engineering standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the analysis of engineering data, drawings, and calculations, including loading, clearances, and constructability.
- Prepare and review field investigation data, engineering studies, and technical documentation.
- Review field inspection and construction reports to confirm work aligns with approved designs and engineering standards.
- Support field investigation and construction crews with technical evaluations and on-site asset verification.
- Evaluate and apply new tools or methods to improve the safety and reliability of transmission projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Must be continuing education toward your degree during or after the internship.
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one at least 30 days prior to the start date).
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred.

- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: Hybrid (expected to be on-site at least 4 days per week).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
